Great photo, great site! I tried doing something similar, couldn’t find anything interesting… I guess you’ve got the photographic “eye”!
Have you thought about grouping the photos a bit? You’ve got the option of grouping them by stroke, but maybe you could add “unique to simplified” for characters that are unique to the simplified writing sysem (车 is one of them) “universal” for both simplified and complex, and “Japanese” for 汉字 that are also used in Japanese.
I was going to post a link in a Japanese learning site, but can’t see if this site is relevant enough as it is. It’s still really cool though.
Anyway, I’ll let you know if I ever start a “hanzillion” project of my own!
